Growing up we didn’t have cable TV, which was fine because I was usually too busy reading to care much. However, once I was in college our dorm actually had cable I really became interested in watching the Food Network. I still enjoy watching it from time to time, but back then there was a show called Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee. It was a cute show and I have several of Sandra’s cookbooks that are great! She really gave me ideas on how you can still create homemade meals but with some help of some pre-packaged items to cut down on cooking and baking times. This concept lead me to finding the cake mix cookies I’m sharing with you today.
These cookies only require four ingredients which is so great especially when you have a sudden chocolate craving! Or if you need a quick dessert, it’s a delicious option. Also, here are a few kitchen tools that will help make the baking of these cookies even easier: mixer, cake mix and my favorite cookie sheet.
Cake Mix Cookies
1 cake mix box
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together cake mix, eggs and oil until well combined. Add in chocolate chips if desired. Roll the dough into balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes. Let cookies rest for 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. Enjoy!
